Groups at St Mary’s

St. Mary’s has many and varied groups and activities taking place:

Sticky Fingers
Toddlers group that runs every Monday 10-11.30am during term time a chance to come together, let the kids, crawl, play, draw, paint and build and have fun. Contact Sue Winnington on 01606 852907.
Meets during the 10.30am service Sunday Morning for 0-3 year olds and their carers.
Our regular Sunday School, meets during the 10.30am service Sunday Morning, groups for the range 4-16yrs.
Young People’s Fellowship (YPF) meet most Sundays, 7.30pm-9pm in term time and is aimed at High School age children. They eat cake and drink hot chocolate, learn from the Bible and pray for each other. Regular Social Events are organised. Home Groups
A great way to learn more about our the Bible and our faith, how to put it into action and be a support and be supported is through being in a small group. We have a good number of small Home Groups who meet around the village on different times and places. Please get in contact with the Church Office (contact details are available here).
Mothers’ Union
The Mothers’ Union is a world-wide organisation seeking to uphold marriage and family life. It has branches that meet in churches up and down the country. Our friendly group meets most 2nd Thursdays at 7.30pm, with a variety of speakers in the Lighthouse, they have links with South African church, and also has special events running throughout the year. Men’s Society
Meets every first Monday of the Months for a speaker and fellowship. They also have social events, summer bowling events and a good meal at Christmas. Email the office for the secretary David Kerr’s details.
Men’s Breakfasts/Meals
Every other month on a Saturday morning we have a men’s breakfast with an interesting speaker and a full English. Also every other month the men get out for a meal together, maybe curry or Chinese. Email the Church Office for details (contact details are available here).
