Christmas Fair 2017

⇐ News Stories

Typical Christmas card weather heralded St Mary’s 2017 Christmas fair with a layer of snow that fortunately didn’t put off the local community attending the event. Tea coffee, mulled wine, cake and mince pies served by the ladies of Café Hope was welcomed on this cold winter afternoon. More than £700 was raised towards the furnishings of our new annex. The notable prize winners were; Sheila Whitfield winner of the raffle (hamper and £15 voucher donated by Forresters Chickens), the Reverend Chris Pritchard selected Freddy as the correct name of Teddy, Liz Burdett successfully guessed the weight of the cake and Rebecca Latham was closest to guessing that there were 78 sweets in the jar. A good time was had by all attending.
